11th Annual Salinas Tree for Peace Lighting Ceremony
SAVE-THE-DATE for Tuesday, November 26th, 4:30-6:30pm for the annual Salinas “Tree for Peace” Lighting and Dedication Ceremony at CSUMB @ Salinas City Center.
Join us for the lighting of the “Tree For Peace” for the City of Salinas. The annual community event features decorating the freshly installed tree, courtesy of McShane’s Landscape Supply, with white ribbons. Members of the community are invited to write messages for peace on the ribbons and then tie them into bows on the tree.
In addition to lighting the “Tree For Peace” attendees will enjoy the following:
- A special visit with Santa
- Hot cider, presented by the Food Bank of Monterey County, and sweet treats
- Activities and live children’s performances hosted by the Arts Council for Monterey County and the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts
Activities will begin inside CSUMB @ Salinas City Center at 4:30PM. The “Tree For Peace” Lighting Ceremony will occur later in the event outside on the front patio of CSUMB @ Salinas City Center – 1 Main Street, Salinas CA 93901.
This is event is FREE and all are welcome to come celebrate the season.
